Research technician position in the Artegiani/Hendriks group

We are looking for a motivated and skilled research technician with experience in cell culture and molecular techniques who is eager to join our lab.

About this position

As a research technician, you will collaborate in a variety of projects, which are focused on study aspects of brain and liver development and cancer, using tissue-derived and pluripotent stem cell-derived organoid cultures, confocal imaging, genetic engineering, etc. You will provide technical support as well as lead independent experiments within these projects. There is also the possibility to execute a more independent project upon project availability. In addition, you will be responsible for the organization of the lab.

Your qualifications

Ideal candidates have completed their Master education and have strong wet lab experience, including cell culture and basic molecular techniques. Strong organization capacity is an essential requirement. Experience with organoid culture and qualification to work with animals is a plus, but is not required. We are looking for a motivated and skilled candidate, that is willing to work as part of a team. The group and the institute are international and the work language is English.

Our job offer

We offer a full-time position (based on 36 hours a week) in a very stimulating and interactive research environment. You will initially be appointed for a period of 1 year with a possible extension. Your gross monthly salary will depend on experience and background, starting in scale 45 with a maximum of €4.015,- gross a month based on a fulltime position (36 hours). You also receive 8,33% gross monthly salary holiday allowance and 8,33% end-of-year bonus. The Princess Máxima Center operates according to the collective labour agreement ‘cao algemene ziekenhuizen’.
