We welcome candidates with a strong interest in developmental biology, organoid technology, and disease modelling. This position is part of the EU-funded Marie Curie doctoral network (VISI-ON-BRAIN) that connects different countries with the overarching aim to develop cutting-edge human in vitro and in silico biomedical tools to better understand the biology of brain disease/disorders. You will employ techniques such as organoid cultures (pluripotent stem cell and tissue-derived), transcriptomic analyses, CRISPR-Cas engineering, and other state-of-the-art tools.

Your qualifications

We are looking for candidates that have completed their Master education and have strong theoretical and wet lab experience, including cell culture and basic molecular techniques. Experience with organoid culture and bioinformatic tools is a pro. We are looking for a highly skilled candidate that has team-working abilities and wants to be part of a team of motivated and passionate scientists. The group and the institute are international and the work language is English. Following the mobility rule, the candidate may not have lived in the Netherlands more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately before the recruitment date.
