We are seeking a highly motivated, flexible, and innovative postdoctoral researcher with a strong background in antibody engineering and functional testing to join the Janda group at the Princess Máxima Center for pediatric oncology.
Our group has a strong interest in the structure-function relationship of ligand-receptor interactions and applying these principles to improve therapies for pediatric cancers. This project aims to establish innovative approaches to explore the structure-function relationship of bispecific T cell engagers (BiTEs) for engineering more effective therapies for pediatric solid tumors.
Your qualifications
- A PhD in protein engineering, immune-oncology, cancer biology, or a closely related discipline.
- Proven expertise in antibody engineering and functional antibody testing using in vitro and in vivo assays is essential.
- Experience with library-based antibody engineering techniques (e.g., yeast and phage display) is advantageous.
- A strong track record of scientific productivity, demonstrated by publications in high-impact journals.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to innovate and thrive in a fast-paced research environment.
- Ability to independently lead and manage projects while collaborating effectively within a team.
- Excellent English writing and verbal communication skills are required.
Our job offer
A full-time position (based on 36 hours a week) in a dynamic and collaborative research environment. You will also have the opportunity to work closely with other leading research groups at the Princess Máxima Center. You will initially be appointed for the duration of one year, with a possible extension. Your gross monthly salary will depend on your experience and background, starting in scale 60 with 8,33% gross monthly salary holiday allowance and 8,33 % end-of-year bonus. The Princess Máxima Center operates according to the collective labor agreement ‘cao algemene ziekenhuizen’.
